Branching Out

We've been branching pun intended. (Ok, maybe a little pun.)

We've decided to wait until spring to open up shop here in Durango. In the meantime hands have certainly not been idle. Tim decided to bulk up the Gallery H online store which, as of right now, boasts 151 items ready to ship anywhere in the world.

You can't say we don't offer variety. Please click on any links and/or photos above to browse the store. There are a lot of new things that we're sure you've never seen the likes of before. And thank you as always for your continued support!

Welcome to Durango

We are officially Colorodans! Though we don't have a storefront yet, we are on the lookout and hopeful to open the next phase of Gallery H on Main Street, Durango by late summer or early fall 2012. In the meantime, we have set up shop on the homefront and are hard at work on pieces ranging from classic Tim-style gothic thrones to much smaller items. Stay tuned with us on Facebook, Etsy and via email for existing and upcoming ship-able products like wood-slice coasters, frames, and wood jewelry. The line of gun grips is officially being promoted through the L.A. area so if you're into that sorta thing, keep a lookout or check out a few of them here. Those will soon be available for online purchase as well.

Thanks for your continued support!

Giant Clearance Sale

The California clock is ticking at Gallery H and the hands are running fast. We are on schedule for our out-of-state move in March and we refulse to get an extra trailer for the furniture in the Gallery. This means we are having a huge Everything Must Go Clearance Sale Extravaganza from now until we lock these doors for good in just 4 short weeks.

Gallery H furniture prices have always been low - now these finely crafted pieces are a steal. If you've had your eye on a piece in here, now is your chance. Come by and ask how much anything in here costs. You won't believe our answer.

It's Almost Moving Time!

It is with mixed emotions but mostly great excitement that we'd like to announce our move out of California. We are ready to venture on our quest for more space and a slower pace. In March, whatever's left gets packed up and moved along. Before that happens, you should really buy something.

How many times over the last few years have you thought to yourself, "You know, I should really have Tim build me/us a new _______"? This is your chance...potentially your LAST chance. In order for Tim to get a couple hours sleep a night between now and March, we are requiring that all custom orders be placed by February 1, 2012. In case you don't already know, Tim can build pretty much anything out of wood, from small containers to elaborate bed frames. He can create a custom design with or without your input or he can follow a photo from a catalog or online. He also makes every attempt to work within whatever sort of budget you have. Wondering how to place a custom order? Contact us today!

We'll be posting information on an upcoming clearance sale in February but please don't feel the need to wait for it. If there's something in the gallery you've had your eye on, please come by and let us know. We promise to make you an offer you can't refuse.

For those of you who purchased mirror artwork from the Reflection show, they are being wrapped up as I type and will be ready for pickup by the end of the day.

For those of you who didn't get anything, we still have a few beautiful pieces available that will remain on the wall. Come on by!

Reflections Opening Success

Thanks very much to everyone who was able to make it out on Saturday night for the opening reception of the Reflections exhibit. Now that the cat is out of the bag, we can post what the exhibit is all about, along with some great pics by Diana Jeong Photography.

Anyone familiar with Tim Hassemer and/or Gallery H Furniture knows that the art never comes without a sinister edge and Reflections is clearly not an exception. One 5’ x 6’ mirror, a big hammer and a special delight in breaking stuff was the inspiration to turn hundreds of broken pieces of mirror into 20 extraordinary pieces of art. The exhibit features 14 different types of wood (that we could count) which are mostly fine and exotic including wenge, gaboon ebony, padauk, mahogany and lots of beautiful clear redwood.

Half of the show sold but there are still some fantastic pieces available including the standing mirror and the small hand mirror. The show will be on display in it's entirety until November 12th so if you weren't able to join us for the reception, please come by and check it out!
